Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA (98097165). Rookie Card. Here's a top-of-the-line, wholly unique tribute to Japan's modern presence in Major League Baseball. Los Angeles Dodgers teammates Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto (the latter making a Rookie Card appearance) have contributed blue ink signatures to this singular Bowman Chrome International Impact Dual Autographs SuperFractor collectible. Each card in the International Impact Autographs insert series commemorates a pair of countrymen who have excelled in the Majors. This entry is the only one that features an MVP-winning subject (Ohtani) and is easily the highest-profile card in the 19-piece set—and perhaps the entire 2024 Bowman Chrome production. Even the base versions of these cards were a dramatically tough pull, with a 1:2,131 hobby pack insertion rate. Single-copy SuperFractors, such as this example, reside at the highest-tier of exclusivity, with only one International Impact Dual Autographs SuperFractor card falling in every 166,839 packs. With his two AL MVP Awards in tow, Ohtani made the cross-city move to the Los Angeles Dodgers prior to the 2024 MLB season for a paradigm-shifting, 10-year, $700 million sum. He has been worth every penny in his debut season in Dodger blue, leading all players in offensive WAR (9.2) and finishing second in the NL in batting average (.310) while pacing the senior circuit in homers (54), RBIs (130), runs scored (134), total bases (411), and OPS (1.036). Prior to 2024, Ohtani's previous career-high in steals was 26; this season, he swiped 59 bags to become the inaugural member of the 50-homer, 50-steal club. When it became clear that Ohtani would not also pitch for the Dodgers in 2024, the franchise looked to the slugger's homeland to bolster their pitching staff, signing three-time Pacific League MVP Yamamoto to a 12-year, $325 million contract. He excelled in his first season, starting 18 games and recording a 3.00 ERA and 1.11 WHIP, that ERA mark was the best of any Dodger who started at least five games this season. A statement on the card affirms the manufacturer's guarantee of authenticity for the piece's content and serves as the item's COA. The limited-edition piece is serial-numbered "1/1 ."
